Burglar alarm
Overview
There are several options for designing the right burglar alarm system for your home or business based on security needs and budget. Options can range from a fully integrated advanced alarm system to basic coverage in all the important areas. If you chose to have your burglar system monitored, PELMAC will develop a contract with you and our Central Station partner, CentraLarm. Monitored devices will be connected through a network, phone or cell, allowing systems to be installed in almost any environment.
Burglar alarm systems are armed while the house is empty or while everyone is sleeping. If a burglar attempts to break-in while the system is armed, our 24/hour answering service, CentraLarm, will either try and contact you directly and retrieve your passcode, or directly contact the police. Your alarm protocol can be determined when you set up your system and it can be changed at anytime. Going on vacation for awhile and want the police dispatched immediately if your alarm goes off? Contact our office and we would be happy to set that up for you. Customers can also receive text notifications when the alarm goes off.

Many home and business owners prefer to set their burglar system up wirelessly. The added benefits of a wireless system are that they generally they take less time to install, they have a clean wire-free design and if cellularly connected to CentraLarm, the system will still work if phone wires are cut. The batteries for a wireless system can last up to three years.

Contacts can be set up along door and window frames so when the alarm system is on, and a door or window is open, the alarm will go off. PELMAC can install contacts for any style door or window (including garage and hatch doors). Contacts can be installed wirelessly, offering a clean design and ease of use to the customer. Depending on customer preference, some door/window contacts can be installed in the door frame, making them disguised with the frame.
